The Opportunity
Jardine Restaurant Group is the operator behind Pizza Hut and KFC in Taiwan, serving millions of customers across a growing restaurant network of 500+ stores and a rapidly expanding digital and delivery business. As we scale, commercial decisions are moving faster and becoming more complex — on pricing, promotions, channel investment, and growth bets. We need a senior finance leader who can sit at the heart of that decision-making: not as a gatekeeper, but as a genuine commercial partner who shapes the choices before they are made.
As our digital and delivery channels scale and commercial complexity increases, we’re investing in the finance capability to match — this role is central to that.
This is a newly elevated role, reporting directly to the Finance Director, with a seat at the leadership table. You’ll lead our Commercial Finance team and be the financial voice in every major commercial decision — on pricing, promotions, marketing investment, and channel growth — ensuring that ambition and profitability move together.
What You’ll Own
Commercial Partnership — Sales, Marketing, B2B & Digital
You’ll be the go-to finance partner for our commercial leadership teams — helping them make faster and smarter business decisions. In practice this means:
- Owning the financial evaluation of pricing strategy: setting frameworks, tracking price realization, and making sure margin isn’t being eroded by discounting across all channels.
- Leading promotion ROI analysis end-to-end — from pre-approval modelling to post-campaign evaluation — and building the discipline to kill what doesn’t work.
- Partnering with Marketing on spend allocation and ROAS, bringing rigour to a function that often operates on instinct.
- Supporting Marketing, B2B, E-Commerce and Digital Operations with deal economics, channel profitability, and trade spend effectiveness.
- Be the person who asks the uncomfortable questions — and backs it up with analysis.
Commercial Performance Management
- Own the Sales and gross margin lines through the budget and forecasting cycle.
- Lead weekly Sales reviews that go beyond variance commentary — identifying the tactical levers available to drive performance in the week ahead.
- Run monthly and quarterly performance reviews that are forward looking, genuinely decision-oriented — not just variance commentary on historical performance.
- Build and maintain dashboards and KPIs that give commercial leaders a clear, real-time view of what’s working and what is not.
- Deliver concise, high-impact reporting to the FD and Executive Leadership Team.
Team Leadership
- Lead, develop, and retain a team of three Commercial Finance professionals — a team with room to grow as the function’s remit expands.
- Raise the team’s business partnering capability — moving further away from reporting to more influencing, and expanding beyond just pricing and promotions to include all strategic projects and investments.
- Drive meaningful process improvements — including leading the adoption of AI tools to eliminate routine reporting and free the team up for higher-value analysis and partnering.
Your Key Stakeholders
This role lives or dies on relationships. You’ll work most closely with:
- Finance Director — your sponsor and sounding board.
- Marketing Directors (Pizza Hut and KFC) — on media and promotional spending, marketing campaigns, and brand investment.
- B2B & E-Commerce / Digital Operations — on channel strategy, pricing, trade terms, channel margin, and digital investment.
- Finance colleagues across Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Vietnam — as part of a broader regional finance community.
What Success Looks Like in Year One
- Commercial leadership trusts your team as genuine partners, not finance gatekeepers.
- Pricing and promotion decisions are grounded in a consistent analytical framework you built.
- The FD has a reliable, forward-looking view of sales and gross margin at all times.
- Your team is stronger, more confident, and more commercially minded.
- Routine analysis & reporting is automated, freeing the team to focus on insight and influence.
Essential
- 8–12 years in Commercial Finance or FP&A, with meaningful experience in F&B, FMCG, Retail, or Consumer Goods.
- Proven track record of owning pricing, promotions, and margin analytics in a multi-channel, multi-brand environment.
- A natural communicator who can translate complexity into clear commercial recommendations — and push back when the numbers don’t stack up.
- Experience leading a team, not just being a strong individual contributor.
- Comfortable operating at pace where decisions move fast and the data is never perfect.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to delivery platforms, e-commerce P&Ls, or D2C channel economics.
- MBA, CPA, or equivalent — valued but not required if your track record speaks for itself.
