Job Purpose
This role acts as the Risk Management Team Leader (legal, compliance and risk management) to the Finance Director of Jardine Restaurant Group Taiwan. The Team Leader would be responsible for a team of legal and internal audit personnels, which work together to provide complete view and support on process design, risk assessment and legal liabilities.
The role mainly focuses on:
1. Balancing internal and external resource, while providing timely support for commercial contract review and relevant regulations/ legal update and implication to Business.
2. Co-working with Functional head to assess and provide assurances that internal control system and related compliance are effective.
Jardine Restaurant Group Taiwan operates the Pizza Hut and KFC franchise in Taiwan, with annual combined revenues of approximately US$0.5 billion and combined store footprint of more than 500 stores across Taiwan.
Job Responsibilities:
- Advice, draft, and review various contracts and legal documents, and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders if necessary
- To ensure effective internal controls in the organization such as through completion of risk management report and monitoring Control Self-Assessment Questionnaire. Additionally, to support on updating Business Continuity Plan and related drills
- Response various queries of legal matters across JRGTW’s business operations to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and directions, including conducting internal training, twice a year
- Deal with the dispute, including the consumer dispute, authority’s query and accidents
- Act as bridge between outside counsel and internal departments, balance the legal respect and business goal included contact the outside counsel to apply for the business registration
1. Degree in law is a must. Masters, JD, LLM would be a plus
2. At least 3 years of law firm or in house working experience
3. Well-rounded communication skill
4. Efficient, self-discipline, and detail oriented
5. Domestic business (in Taiwan) travels may be required based on job requirements.
